Challenge Foundation Properties (CFP) is a leading charter school facility resource, helping financially stable charter schools secure permanent homes so they can reach the next level. We guide organizations through the development process from start-up to permanent facilities. As a 501c3 public charity, CFP provides comprehensive financial and logistical support—usually at below-market rates.
CFP has named 14 charter schools as recipients of its 2019 educational grant. The grants went to schools that demonstrated a commitment to providing quality educational options for children in grades kindergarten to 12 through innovation.
Schools receiving grants include Aristotle Preparatory Academy, Carolina Charter Academy, Coastal Preparatory Academy, Davidson Charter Academy, Ethos Academy, Excelsior Classical Academy, Hirsch Academy, Piedmont Community Charter School, Pine Springs Preparatory Academy, Pioneer Preparatory School, Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy, Unity Classical Charter School, Veritas Community School, and Western School of Science and Technology.
Created in 2005 by the John Bryan Family and Challenge Foundation, CFP champions educational freedom and uncompromising academic excellence. We help eligible charter schools evolve into superior scholastic institutions that strengthen people and communities.
Our Mission: To facilitate the development of charter schools and other institutions that benefit communities, by providing expertise in construction, land acquisition and financing at below-market rates, supporting financial sustainability and long-term success.
